Make sure that every single individual user within your company has their own, unique login for the system. Train your staff to create passwords that are at least 12 characters in length, and include a combination of letters, digits and even spaces.
Every employee should be fully aware of what they can and cannot add to their work computer. Any software or programme that isn’t approved by the IT team should not be installed, as outside installations are a risk to the entire network security.
All staff members should be encouraged to backup work, or understand that there is an automatic process where data is backed up to protect the system and to ensure that should there be a loss of power or data that there is a resolution process in place to minimise downtime.
