Finance Manager (Full Time/Permanent)

Job Description

Hampshire Business Computers have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager. The role includes a wide range of responsibilities relating to financial management and office administration. The finance manager is responsible for the supervision and support of four team members.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up to date financial records
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Quarterly VAT returns
  • Oversee sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, accounts payable, accounts receivable and stock control
  • Monthly management accounts
  • Administration of our helpdesk database, managing and integrating into our accounting software
  • Provide data to accountants for year-end financial statements
  • Provide day to day support to accounting and administrative staff

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a senior accounts role
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Proficiency in financial software
  • MS Office skills
  • Team management skills and discretion with confidential information

Full training on our products and internal systems will be provided together with guidance and training to develop the skills for the role. The business has approximately 20 staff based in Romsey with a subsidiary business in Bristol. The business is owned and managed as an Employee Ownership Trust and a key focus is the value it places on its staff and their ability to thrive and develop their skills. The working week is Monday – Friday 37.5 hours with 23 days holiday initially plus Bank Holidays. The successful applicant would report to the Directors.

Customer Service Advisor (Full Time/Permanent)

Job Description

Hampshire Business Computers are looking for a Customer Service Advisor to provide support to our IT Helpdesk.

The primary role include:

  • Answer phone calls in timely manner
  • Log incidents into Halo, our Helpdesk database
  • Liaise with our IT Support Team and ensure the efficient and smooth running of the Helpdesk
  • Communicate with customers predominantly via telephone and email about status of calls
  • Supporting and guiding our customers, whether it’s helping them with a billing query, advising them how to access Halo remotely or anything else Halo related
  • You will also be working closely with the Sales and Accounts Teams to maintain a high standard of service delivery to the Customers
  • Various office administrative tasks

Skills Required

  • Enthusiastic
  • Good IT skills including MS 365 (Office)
  • Confident phone manner and customer service
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Exceptional organisational skills
  • An eye for detail
  • Being able to work as part of a team but also able to work on own initiative
