HBC team takes on a charity challenge: A corporate triathlon for Rose Road Association

Our HBC team had the opportunity to participate in a charity team triathlon organised by the Rose Road Association at David Lloyd Leisure. Rose Road charity supports children and young adults with complex physical and learning disabilities.

It was our first time taking part in this event, and what an experience it was! Our team consisted of myself (Stuart Booth) tackling the run, Rob Williams taking on the cycle, and Olly Ross diving into the swim. We all completed our disciplines simultaneously within the gym, which added an exciting dynamic to the event.

The event was exceptionally well-organised and focused on the charity’s mission. There were plenty of goodies provided by the participating companies and organisations, adding to the fun and team spirit.

After the triathlon, we enjoyed a fantastic lunch where we had the chance to share our experiences and connect with other participants.

The day concluded with a delightful awards ceremony, recognizing individual and team achievements. Well done to Paris Smith Solicitors for the team win!

One of the most touching moments was hearing updates on the progress of the children and young adults supported by the Rose Road Association. It was a powerful reminder of why we were there and the impact of our efforts.

Overall, it was a memorable and rewarding experience, and we can’t wait to participate again next year!
