Hampshire Business Computers were founded in 1986 by the current Managing Director Kieron Doyle and Technical Director Derrick Ross during the formative years of the IT industry. The company's initial core business was the implementation and support of computer based business and accounting applications.

For many years HBC were located in the centre of Basingstoke serving customers along the M3 corridor, northwards to London and southwards towards Bournemouth. Before long HBC were supplying IT services and equipment to household names such as W H Smith, Wella and Racal.

As the IT industry evolved during the 1990's, HBC followed suit and gained credible expertise in Sage and Microsoft software applications whilst promoting best of breed hardware from Compaq, HP and Toshiba. During this period Hampshire Business Computers augmented staff numbers to include several technical engineers, sales staff and a dedicated Sage support team whilst the customer base expanded to in excess of 200 active customers.

Today Hampshire Business Computers have more than twenty staff and have re-located to  Romsey, Hampshire. For several years HBC have been a Microsoft Certified Partner and have MCSE (Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer) certification on the current Windows  server product range.

Other accreditations include Gold security partner status with SonicWALL and business partner certification with The Neverfail Group to provide business continuity solutions. Active customers now number well over 300 and include names such as The Lunan Group, Trammell Crow Saville and Nokia Retail Outlets. Numerous other customers have built long term, successful relationships with HBC which is a declaration of the professional, courteous, ethical and pro-active approach adopted by their staff.
