This technology has been a joint development between McAfee and Sonicwall and works on the principle that whenever a PC attempts to send traffic to the Internet through the SonicWALL Internet security appliance, a request for the latest version of the VirusScan Ant-virus file is automatically returned to the desktop. If the PC fails to respond, the SonicWALL Internet security appliance automatically triggers a transparent response and Internet access is effectively denied. Thereafter all users are centrally monitored, managed and meticulously auto-updated before being allowed to access the Internet.
