Patch Management
Patching Servers and Computers is essential for effective cyber security. Everything, including Operating Systems, drivers, 3rd party software are vulnerable and must be patched when an update is made available.
When a new patch is released, attackers will quickly identify the underlying vulnerability in the application and release malware to exploit it. Attacking a device before the patch has been applied fundamentally increases the risk of a data breach. Employees often install their own software without your IT Team knowing. This could be as innocent as Cisco WebEx or Zoom, however, these applications still need updating.
