More than half (53 percent) said they plan to spend more on mobile technology within three years, with half again planning to spend at least five per cent of the overall budget, the primary benefit will be improved efficiency and productivity. At present, almost all companies use laptops while 66 percent use hand held devices (PDA's), 43 per cent use BlackBerry-type devices, 36 per cent use smart phones and 25 percent use 3rd Generation mobile phones. A further 42 percent have implemented Voice over IP and 41 percent utilise desktop video conferencing. In the survey Wireless connectivity was rated as the most useful business technology.
